The Web site www.taps.org has information about the services they provide, all free of charge. You can also request care packages, local counseling support, and information brochures/magazines/and Quick Series Guides through the website. The phone number 1-800-959-8277, and is answered 24/7.

Here is the TAPS mission statement:

TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America, regardless of relationship to the deceased, geography, or circumstance of the death. TAPS meets its mission by providing peer-based support, crisis care, casualty casework assistance, and grief and trauma resources.

If you or someone you know has suffered the loss of a loved one in the military, please do check out all of the programs and resources on its Web site.
