A Week of Christmas – Day 5: Jesus Calling
Congratulations to Liza Klettke, the winner of the Pampered Chef giveaway, who wrote, “I use my pamper chef pots and pans the most.” Sounds like you are gonna get one more to add to your collection!
To kick off this season of giving and thanksgiving, we are giving away one prize every day for the first full week of December. For our fifth prize, we are giving away a copy of the book “Jesus Calling!” I actually haven’t read this book, yet, but I’ve heard really good things.
Book Description: “After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to “listen” to God with pen in hand, writing down whatever she believed He was saying to her. It was awkward at first, but gradually her journaling changed from monologue to dialogue. She knew her writings were not inspired as Scripture is, but journaling helped her grow closer to God. Others were blessed as she shared her writings, until people all over the world were using her messages. They are written from Jesus’ point of view, thus the title Jesus Calling. It is Sarah’s fervent prayer that our Savior may bless readers with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure.”
If you’d like to win, all you have to do is leave a comment answering the question: “What is your favorite Bible reading plan?” I like to read at least one chapter from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from Revelations everyday. I don’t always, but I try.
Please, just one entry per person. We have to approve each entry, so don’t worry if yours doesn’t show up right away, we will update throughout the day.
No entries after 11 p.m. eastern time. Winners for all giveaways will be drawn at random.
Tomorrow we will announce the winner, as well as the next giveaway!

The plan that comes with the Daily Bread devotional.
After having a baby 5 months ago and getting life back in order, I am ready to get back into reading and studying the Word.
I love reading out of My Upmost for His Highest. However, I just discovered that my YouVersion Bible on my iPad has some really interesting Bible reading plans, so I might have to give them a try.
